The first question we may find resourceful for answering is a definition of what fever is in real sense. The child is said to have a fever when their body temperature is up on highs above the normal which is 37 degrees. You can take the body temperature by the use of the body temperature thermometers. The fevers have some good side to them given the reason that they can help the children fight infections, when you get them going way above the mark, you will start having qualms and a lot unsettled and the child will get a lot disturbed and uncomfortable.
The next question many will ask is how to tell if their child has fever. Depending on age, a child with fever will show certain changes in their body and will feel hot. Th newborns are always seen when they have fever to be quite sleepy more than normal and will as well reject the breast and the bottle. For the older babies, you will find them a lot cranky and less energetic as compared to the normal. The toddler will as well be thirsting a lot and will have a lowered appetite. A toddler will as well give signs of listlessness and lack of interest in several activities as another sign of fever attack in them. Fever is as well manifest in children when they have a trouble falling asleep or being more sleepy than normal. Look out for the signs of fever in your child age above 2 when you see them feeling tired and being unusually whining, when they are asking for drinks than is usual and complain of chills and or pains in their body. If you happen to note any of these signs in your child, then it is time to take their body temperature.
The next question we will answer is how to take the body temperature. There are several kinds of temperature taking tools, thermometers, which will be available in drug stores and as such you will be confused as to which one will be the best shot for you to help you take your child’s body temperature.
